To help prevent unauthorised access to your account or when you complete certain high-risk actions, we may ask you to complete some additional security checks when accessing your Glasgow Credit Union account online on in app.
We use multi-factor fraud detection systems to continually evaluate account access patterns to help prevent unauthorised access and if an access attempt appears to be unusual or potentially unsafe, we may require you to complete some enhanced checks to ensure your account remains fully protected and it really is you accessing the account.
If you are asked to complete additional identity verification when using our digital services, we’ll ask you to take a motion selfie using your device camera. If you are using our web member portal, you may find it easier to complete the check on a mobile device. We’ll then verify your image is genuine and matches the photo ID you already provided us with. If we don’t have valid photo ID for you or the ID we have is no longer valid, we’ll also ask you to take a photo of your ID. Acceptable forms of ID are:
• UK Passport
• UK Driving License
• UK Residency Permit
If you don’t have one of the above forms of ID, we can accept a Scottish National Entitlement Card (NEC) but this will require to be manually verified by our team and will take longer than other forms of photo ID.
